Seeing the enormous prospects open for his people, recognizing the multitude and greatness of the tasks to be performed, he is working in an heightened mood and tension throughout his short life, taking on decades of work over the years.

 He was also excellent as a scientist. He compiles a bibliography of literature on Mari people (including works published between 1762 and 1931), and writes an important article on the relationship between folklore and literature. Recorded as a literary translator he transleted poems from Pushkin, Gorky, Blok, Byron, Goethe, Schiller into his mother tongue, He was the first to recite Petőfi's poems in Mari. He has exchanged several letters with Gorky, who encourages and advises the young writer. His first poem, written at the age 14, was published in 1920 and has been published regularly since 1926. His most famous poem "The Big Bird" is about the first plane which landed on Mari land. Between 1934 and 1937, eight independent volumes were published by him.

 In this last period of his life, he wrote mostly short novels, the main theme was the land of Maris, which was in changing as the result of industrialization.
